Freight Shipping Specifications
Please read thoroughly so there are no surprises when buying heavy components from us!
Truck Beds & Vehicle Cabs
All truck beds and cabs ship via fully insured flatbed trailers to business locations or nearby carrier terminals.
- Weight Scale: Beds weigh 300–400 lbs (can be unloaded by 1–3 people or machinery). Regular cabs weigh ~1,000 lbs, extended cabs ~1,500 lbs, and crew cabs ~2,000 lbs.
- Safe Transport: Beds are loaded upside down with heavy commercial padding protecting them from the trailer deck.
- Handling Window: Expect a 1–4 week handling timeframe depending on your specific regional location.
What is Considered LTL Freight?
LTL (Less Than Truckload) refers to smaller components sent out securely on standard wooden pallets.
- Classified Items: Tailgates, bumpers, doors, standalone engines, axles, exhaust setups, and transmissions.
- Sizing Limits: Items that exceed standard UPS or FedEx weight restrictions, or items that risk damage on regular automated conveyor belts.
- Daily Processing: We package custom orders every morning, Monday through Friday.
Terminal Delivery & Address Validation
LTL freight ships standard to Carrier Terminals unless a verified commercial business address is provided. We request your full address during checkout to locate the absolute closest terminal to your location. Residential freight delivery is available but incurs additional carrier charges not calculated online—contact logistics directly for a residential quote.
It is your absolute legal responsibility to thoroughly inspect the packaging and all contents inside for damage BEFORE signing the driver's paperwork.
Refuse Damaged Cargo
If the package is visibly damaged, REFUSE DELIVERY immediately. Do not sign for it on the dock. You must state clearly on the Bill of Lading (BOL) exactly why it was refused.
Take Visual Evidence
Take clear, high-resolution photographs of the cargo before and after the removal of packaging wrapper material on site.
Do Not Remove From Premises
If damage has occurred, do not remove the item from the carrier location. A formal carrier field inspection must be executed right there.
Liability Disclaimer: TruckBedsUSA is not responsible for claims against transport lines if proper inspection precautions were not executed before signing for freight. We cannot initiate cargo claims until we receive your photos, an updated freight bill stating damage, and a completed carrier inspection form.
Order Processed
Tracking numbers are securely generated and assigned right after your order exits our packaging queue.
Carrier Transit
Your freight moves securely via insured flatbeds or pallet lines directly to your target destination zone.
Terminal Phone Call
The local freight carrier terminal will reach out to you directly via phone when your order lands and is ready for pickup.
